What type of printing does Western Print and Label do?
We are a custom printer of all things a commercial printer would do but our specialty is labels and decals with special weather resistant/rough use and ever-changing characteristics such as barcodes, serial numbers and sequential/consecutive information.
What materials do you print on?
Labels and decals may be printed on many different label products such as regular matte and gloss papers as well as synthetics such as polyesters, polypropylene, matte chrome polyester and tamper-evident stocks. Size and shape can be accommodated as you require.
Do you offer samples?
Yes. All of our products are available in sample form whether it be printed or plain.
What is the turn-around time for labels?
Our average turnaround time on custom printed products is generally 7 – 10 days. For in stock items such as plain laser sheets, pricing labelers and dispensers’ shipping would be 2 – 3 days. New production methods and mechanization allow for flexibility when required and we do try to accommodate RUSH orders where possible.
Can you help me with product design?
Yes, we can offer suggestions and guidance but our main focus is producing high quality printed products
How should I go about designing my own and producing artwork?
Our website offers all the information you or your graphic designer will need to produce readily printable acceptable artwork files. Find this in our “FILE UPLOADS”.
Are there different methods to print on products?
We use digital, flexography and silk screen methods to print our label products and typically offset for other products although digital can also be used as well.
Can I see what my project will look like before it is printed?
In all cases you will have to “sign off” on a printed proof before printing. In some cases, yes you may be able to get an actual printed sample but for obvious reasons this is not always possible. We do not typically charge for proofs unless an actual sample is required and this causes extra work.
Can I stick my labels on anything and will it work?
Label adhesives today are quite good at sticking to most things. These adhesives are typically water base emulsion which are also environmentally friendly. Some products will require specialty adhesives for such things as already frozen products, rough surfaces and tires. If you require a special application, we can supply samples for testing.
Are all label products able to withstand outdoor weather situations?
Depending on where the label is being used, most outdoor applications require the material used to have properties that will withstand moisture, severe temperatures and UV (light fast). There are printable products to withstand most all applications and again, samples are available when required.
How do you accept orders?
We accept orders through our website, e-mail, purchase order and verbally but all must be accompanied by written approval before any work can be done. Our order/entry system requires a JOB Ticket before we can begin any type of work including artwork. This does not mean there will be any charges if the order is cancelled, it is simply how we keep track of all orders in the system.
Can I request odd numbers of product or several different printings in one order?
Yes, we can in most cases produce small runs especially in our digital process and we can add small quantities of “like” products together for better pricing purposes.
How will my order be shipped?
Non-online orders are shipped “prepaid” and billed to the customer unless otherwise specified. If requested, we can use the customers courier after producing the name of the courier and the account number.

What are the terms of a non-online order?
Our terms are payment of invoice before shipping or strictly net 30 days. You must make a request when ordering if you want terms. Terms are only given to companies that have an Accts. Payable Dept. or previous arrangements have been made. We accept all forms of major credit cards, cheque/cash upon pick-up, and *e-transfers and *EFT’s (*by special and previous arrangements only).
